The Table
A hidden-role negotiation simulation
Round up the neighbors: things need to change, and quick! Each player has their own needs that they need addressed, and must work together to address them. Take turns enacting policy or building community power to ensure your needs are met.
Semi-hidden identities obscure whose interests are tied together, what forces are working against each other. You’ve got a week to find allies and collaborate to better the neighborhood and secure your interests!
This simulation was designed to be used as an educational tool for programs exploring social justice, gentrification, and community power. The Table supports 6-26 players so that it may be used in the classroom.
Special thanks to Rachel Hollins, Breaysha Helm, Ben Clift, and John Loeffler.
